In this book, Gamawan explains about the Government’s jobs which are almost unlimited, started by the problem of ‘sleeping’ farm, fund aid to the people, expense of Didikan Subuh, Panjat Pinang, MTQ between nagari, football tournament until the Tarik Tambang competition between families. These altogether become the government’s responsibility.

Government’s loads do not just get there, because beside serve the demand above and facility various party, giving service become a compulsion. People’s demand also continue to increase. Longer, people’s demand becoming wide and complex. Latter, the aid type given by the government can’t be counted again, because it’s too damn high.

Why do the society transfer their responsibility to the government ? Does it mean the society will have more power or oppositely, will they became spoilt and lazy ? There are more than 100 aids type to the society. However, society do not use this aid maximally. They do not think long-rangely. So that, they stayed in poverty cycle.

That's a small part of the real problems happened in our country. Gamawan comments these problems shortly but solid synchronized. Also there are fresh ideas from this former regent of Solok to solve it. One of his idea is a new breakthrough in order to develop our nation and improve people’s prosperity.

The ideas from Gamawan Fauzi has been implemented since his tenure as regent of Solok, like as Yantupin (Pelayanan Satu Pintu / One Door Service). All input services to the public only through one office (one door) only, such as birth certificates, building permits, etc. Everything was just taken care of through the door, so that the administration path is shorter. Now Gamawan as The Interior Minister has run other policies, such as e-ID card. Electronic Identity Card. This is to solve the problem of multiple ID cards that often occur in the community. So Gamawan ideas contained in this book is not merely an idea, but it is realized.

Overall, this book is really interesting and should be read by the students and public figures. The author could just give the title of this book as "Unedge Government", but in practice, undoubtly, Gamawan had found its edge, that is by promoting good governance and democratization.
